Hanover Junction Loses One Of Its Sons

Roger E. Shaffer

It’s with regret that I’m writing about the death of Roger E. Shaffer. I never knew Mr. Shaffer, but was well aware of his work researching the history of Hanover Junction, a small village in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. A website about the village was created many years ago and is titled “Hanover Junction, PA – A lifetime of memories. Some of his memories and stories are shared there, along with others which are available as books.

Another of Mr. Shaffer’s hobbies were building detailed models of structures from Hanover Junction, which can also be viewed on the website.
